Assassin’s Creed fans have long been clamoring for a Creed game set in Japan, and Ubisoft will finally be delivering one after Assassin’s Creed Shadows got delayed into 2025. Set in the violent Sengoku period, this game will feature dual protagonists. Players will get to play both as Yasuke, a fierce samurai of African origin, and Naoe – a shinobi who relies on the shadows and stealth to outmaneuver her enemies. The gameplay video below showcases both Yusuke and Naoe’s skills, and also the game’s pretty Japanese feudal setting.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will face stiff competition from Ghost of Yotei in 2025, though, so it remains to be seen if Ubisoft can deliver another great, grand open world adventure like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was in 2020 to deal with Yotei’s threat next year.
