Top 10 games coming in the second half of 2024

Although some high-quality games such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have already hit the shelves this year, there are still plenty of promising video games to arrive in the second half of 2024. These include the likes of Star Wars Outlaws and Konami’s Silent Hill 2 remake, amongst others. The best may yet to come for video games fans, then, so here follows a list of the top 10 games coming in the second half of the year.

1. Star Wars Outlaws

Many are looking forward to Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars game, which as its name suggests, will feature an outlaw protagonist: a scoundrel of the underworld named Kay Vess. This will also be a game of firsts, as it’s the first open-world Star Wars game to feature a female protagonist.

So you can expect to visit iconic Star Wars locations such as the planet Tatooine, and also the “hive of scum and villainy” that is Mos Eisley, as seen in the preview video below. You can explore the game’s locations using a variety of vehicles including Kay’s speeder bike, plus there’s also spaceship combat here as in last year’s Starfield game (thankfully, though, there don’t seem to be any immersion-breaking loading screens as in Bethesda’s game).

As Kay searches for a mysterious character (an expert gunslinger) in the video below, she gets to use stealth takedowns to knock out enemies and also her laser pistol, so hopefully Star Wars Outlaws’ gameplay will be as good as its story when it arrives this summer.
